There are officially less than 24 hours until Amazon Prime Day. It’s never too early to start planning, including making a wish list for the big sale, of course.
Continue reading to find out what we currently know about Prime Day 2022 and what you can do to prepare for the eventual price reduction.
Amazon hosts its annual sale event known as Prime Day only for Prime subscribers. It typically offers special discounts on thousands of items for one or two days across all product categories.
This year’s Prime Day will be held on July 12 and 13, according to Amazon. On June 21, early deals were made.
Prime Day typically occurs in July, but due to the pandemic in 2020, the sale was postponed and took place in October. Prime Day was held in late June of 2021, resuming its summertime schedule.
Make sure you actually have an Amazon Prime membership before anything else. There is a 30-day free trial available here; after that, your membership will cost $14.99 per month or $139 annually (the price increased from $12.99 per month and $119 annually this past February). You’ll have access to Prime Video ad-free music streaming, unlimited photo storage, and unlimited reading in addition to quick, free two-day shipping. Only Prime members can get access to many of Prime Day’s best deals, including the Lightning Deals (more on those in a moment).
Once your membership is organized, you should also spend some time making sure your payment options, such as 1-Click settings and default delivery, are current so you can quickly snag the deals you want.
Remember, Amazon Prime Day isn’t the only significant sale to keep an eye out for. Although those events have not yet been announced, other significant retailers like Best Buy, Wayfair, and Target will probably host sizable, competitive sale events of their own.
You should save the Amazon Deals Page as a favorite because that is where you’ll find all the items that are part of the sale. On the big day, be sure to check frequently because Prime Day deals are known to sell out quickly and because new deals will probably be added throughout the sale period.
On the previous page, you’ll also find Amazon’s renowned Lightning Deals (you can filter your view so that you only see Lightning Deals using the panel on the left side of the page).
Finally, make sure to visit CNN Underscored frequently and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We’ll be highlighting the top offers available 24/7 that you won’t want to miss on Amazon Prime Day (and every other day of the year).
Although Amazon hasn’t made public the majority of its deals, you can still shop for a few early discounts right now. A breakdown of the currently offered items that are for sale can be found below.
