According to police, a 4-year-old West Virginia girl’s parents have been accused of killing their child.
When responding to a home in Summers County on Tuesday morning, authorities discovered the girl dead, according to a statement from West Virginia State Police Capt. R. A. Maddy.
According to the statement, investigators found that the girl’s mother and father, Rebekah Weikle and Rusty Weikle, were to blame for her passing.
The 30-year-old couple is accused of murder, child abuse that resulted in death, child neglect that resulted in death, and conspiracy.
Both were detained at Southern Regional Jail on Wednesday. Online records don’t mention whether either party has legal representation.
