The suspect who opened fire on two police officers at a Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Monday before fleeing the scene is being sought by authorities.
The shooting happened close to the Parkway Welcome America events around 10 p.m.

A Philadelphia Police Highway Patrolman sustained a head graze injury. According to Fox 29 of Philadelphia, the other officer, who belonged to the Montgomery County Bomb Unit, was shot in the shoulder. The conditions of both officers are stable.
Videos captured at the scene show a sizable police presence escorting people out of the area while fireworks are still being set off close by. In other videos, a group of at least 100 people can be seen escaping the scene of the shooting.
Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta of Pennsylvania, who represents the 181st district, which includes Northern Philadelphia, urged people to stay away from the area on Twitter.
“This shouldn’t be how we have to live. Gun violence has left family after family and community after community having to endure the excruciating pain of it, “Tweeted he.
“I’m absolutely gutted,” Kenyatta continued, “by the reports of a shooting tonight during the July 4th concert in the vicinity of the Philadelphia Art Museum.”
