The most recent Linux patch lists AMD’s RDNA 3 GPUs, including Navi 31, Navi 32, and Navi 33, as well as an integrated APU component.
AMD RDNA 3 Navi 31, Navi 32, and Navi 33 will have DCN 3.2, and the RDNA 3 APU will support DCN 3.1.4.
There are currently four AMD RDNA 3 GPUs listed in the LLVN open-source repository and various Linux patches. These include the Navi 31 “GFX1100,” Navi 32 “GFX1102,” Navi 33 “GFX1101,” and the GFX1103 which appears as an APU and is most likely the model used in the upcoming Phoenix Point APU lineup. Coelacanth-dream gathered the information, and it appears that we now have fresh knowledge about the DCN or Display Core Next versions that each chip will support at launch.
The AMD Navi 31, Navi 32, and Navi 33 GPUs are part of the discrete RDNA 3 GPU lineup. The red team will be switching from the DCN 3.0 engine that is currently in use to the new DCN 3.2.1 engine. While the discrete RDNA 3 GPU family uses the same version, the APU does not. It uses the same series as the current RDNA 2 ‘GFX1030’ APU series, which is referred to as the DCN 3.1.4 series. The DCN 3.1.6 engine is employed by the AMD Sabrina APU.

Both the DCN 3.2 and DCN 3.1 series appear to support only four display outputs in terms of features. The RDNA 3 lineup will also maintain this standard, which has been the norm for RDNA 2 GPUs. Don’t expect to see Infinity Cache designs on Phoenix Point APUs because new information indicates that the RDNA 3 / GFX11 GPU now supports MALL (Memory Access at Last Level) or Infinity Cache.
There will be a significant increase in graphics performance for an integrated chip with the AMD Phoenix Point APUs, which are expected to have up to 24 Compute Units or double the number of cores compared to the Rembrandt APUs currently on the market. These chips will compete against Intel’s Meteor Lake chips, which have up to 192 EUs in a tiled-GPU design. While this is going on, the AMD RDNA 3 GPU lineup is proving to be a strong rival to NVIDIA’s anticipated Ada Lovelace next-generation products later this year
