When Rockstar Games announced the release date of GTA V and GTA Online for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S earlier this year, it was confirmed that GTA VI, if that is what the next installment in the series will be called, has been in the works. Now, the developer claimed that over the past few years, it has been “steadily moving more development resources” toward the following Grand Theft Auto game in a post outlining a significant update coming to the GTA Online experience. The company had to alter how it supports Red Dead Online as a result, but did so because it recognizes the “need to exceed players’ expectations.”
The developer won’t be releasing significant themed updates like in previous years, which is the biggest change for Red Dead players. That entails that there won’t be any new Specialist Roles, missions, or game modes, as explained by GameRant. This year, the company will continue to improve upon the current modes and add new Telegram Missions, which are solo tasks that players can complete to earn rewards. But going forward, Rockstar’s monthly events for Red Dead Online will concentrate on showcasing recently added Roles and missions.
Players of Red Dead Online have previously voiced concerns about the game’s lack of significant updates and Rockstar’s propensity to give the Grand Theft Auto series priority over its other titles. But since GTA is a huge moneymaker for the creator, it’s not all that surprising that Rockstar has decided to focus all of its efforts on making sure that fans will adore GTA VI.
