Even though Amazon Prime Day is currently underway, some of the best Prime Day deals can be found elsewhere. Walmart is running promotions of its own, while Best Buy is calling its sales “Black Friday in July,” which makes even less sense than calling a two-day event Prime Day, singular. It’s common for Walmart and the others to duplicate many of the offers that Amazon posts while also highlighting some original ones of their own.
While some of these discounts are simply what we would refer to as a fine discount on any other day of the year, others can be a little unexpected and especially good. However, if you are a Walmart Plus member, there may be additional motivation to find these discounts at your preferred retailer, such as the opportunity to benefit from free, faster shipping. The older iPad Air from 2020 is currently on sale for such a steep discount that, at least in terms of price, it is almost comparable to the base-model iPad. Currently, Walmart is selling the 64GB Wi-Fi model for $379 ($220 less than it originally cost) in silver, space gray, or sky blue. Even though it doesn’t have the M1 CPU like the more recent model, the A14 Bionic is still incredibly fast.
Walmart is offering the Apple 64GB iPad Mini with Wi-Fi for $409 ($90 off). It resembles an 8.3-inch iPad Pro in some ways, but without the 3.5-millimeter audio jack and USB-C charging. Unfortunately, the 2021 Mini rarely costs less than this because there isn’t much of a market for it.
The most recent 10.2-inch iPad with 64GB of storage and Wi-Fi is also available for $299 instead of $329. This is a quick iPad with Center Stage support and a 12MP wide-angle camera.
The Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless over-ear headphones are $228 instead of $348 and provide good sound quality and effective noise cancellation. Read our analysis.
Despite not having noise cancellation like some of the more expensive models available, the Bose Sport Earbuds are suitable for an active lifestyle due to their IPX4 sweat and water resistance. Walmart currently has them for $149 ($30 off).
The MagSafe charging case and Apple AirPods Pro are on sale for $169.99, saving you about $79 overall. Due to their simple connectivity, excellent noise cancellation, and superior microphone quality, these are still the headphones of choice for many Apple users (for earbuds).
The price of the second-generation AirPods with the wired charging case has been reduced to $89.99 (roughly $39 off) by Walmart, which is matching sales from Target and Amazon. Despite their age, we have never seen them in brand-new condition for less money than this.
A new record low has been set for the Apple Watch Series 7. Instead of paying $399, you can purchase the 41mm GPS-enabled model for $279. The newest smartwatch from Apple features a larger always-on screen than its predecessor and dust resistance.
An all-time low price of $219 ($61 off) is being offered for the midrange Apple Watch SE in the 40mm, GPS-enabled configuration. With more health tracking sensors and a style that resembles more recent Apple watches, this is a better purchase than the Apple Watch Series 3.
Instead of paying $39.99, you can purchase Roku’s Streaming Stick 4K for $29. The streaming stick is compatible with Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, and Amazon’s Alexa as well as HDR10 Plus and Dolby Vision.
The 55-inch M-Series QLED with HDR from Vizio is currently on sale at Walmart for $328, down from $498.
At Walmart, the silver version of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 is now available for an all-time low price of $149.99 ($100 off). The standard setup is a 40mm, GPS-equipped model that can fit most wrists. Thanks to Samsung’s cooperation with Google on its software, the Galaxy Watch 4 is among the best smartwatches for the Android ecosystem.
Oh, and the black Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 costs $165.30, which is a little more.
If you want a slightly more upscale appearance, the more expensive Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with GPS is on sale in the 46mm size for $283 (about $97 off). On all but the largest wrists, it will undoubtedly fit extra-large at this size.
Depending on the color, Walmart is offering Sony’s DualSense Wireless Controllers for the PlayStation 5 for $59, a discount of up to $15. Even though this offer is currently available at almost all of the major retailers, it is still appreciated.
When you put the vintage handheld in your shopping cart at Walmart, Nintendo’s Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda is marked down to $39.97. That saves you about $10 on the tiny portable with a 2.36-inch screen and three vintage Zelda games pre-installed. Even an idle-time clock with a Zelda theme is displayed on the screen.
