The past week saw a 10.4 cent decrease in gas prices, marking the third consecutive week that the cost at the pump has decreased.
Data gathered by GasBuddy include:
According to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million individual price reports covering more than 150,000 gas stations nationwide, the nation’s average gas price has decreased for the third consecutive week, dropping 10.4 cents from a week ago to $4.78 per gallon on Tuesday. The national average is $1.66 per gallon higher than a year ago and is down 7.1 cents from one month earlier. Diesel is now averaging $5.72 per gallon across the country, down 6.3 cents in the previous week.
The media no longer discusses gas prices
The media heavily criticized gas prices earlier in the summer. But as soon as prices began to fall, the coverage vanished. The corporate media has a recurring pattern of only covering negative news.
Regarding Biden and his administration, they have already made up their minds. The media’s viewpoint on this White House is to constantly search for the bad. After they spent four years accepting Trump’s denials at face value and giving them equal weight to facts and truth, it is an especially annoying approach.
Before they reach their pre-spike levels, gas prices have a long way to go, but the decrease in price and the deteriorating Republican outlook for the midterm elections are not unrelated.
Even though the corporate press has no interest in reporting it, there is good news for the country.
