With more than $69 billion in bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, was among the top 20 richest people on earth in mid-November 2021 and ranked among the Forbes 2021 Billionaires list. Since then, seven months have passed, and the unidentified person who invented Bitcoin has fallen from the top 20 spot to 79th place among the richest 100 people in the world.

Bitcoin’s creator Satoshi Nakamoto’s net worth decreased by seventy percent, but he is still among the top 100 richest people in the world

On the low end, it is believed that Satoshi Nakamoto, the person who invented Bitcoin, mined at least 600,000 to 700,000 bitcoins (BTC) during the blockchain’s early development. According to higher estimates, Nakamoto may have mined up to 1.1 million BTC using a single powerful PC.

It’s safe to say that the consensus is that Nakamoto owns all of the forks that resulted from the original creation and about 1 million bitcoin. Accordingly, using the current BTC exchange rates, the inventor’s portfolio would be worth more than $20.5 billion if Nakamoto still owned the stash of coins.

Satoshi Nakamoto is currently one of the top 100 wealthiest billionaires in the world, but it’s possible that Nakamoto was more than one person. Nobody has ever been able to determine who Nakamoto is or whether he, she, or they will ever spend the estimated 1 million bitcoins, which are currently worth $20.5 billion.

Satoshi Nakamoto is the 79th richest person on the planet right now with a net worth of more than $20.5 billion. Nakamoto is barely ahead of Contemporary Amperex Technology’s vice chairman, billionaire Huang Shilin (CATL). Shilin is one of China’s biggest manufacturers of electric car batteries, and the Forbes 2022 Billionaires list estimates his current net worth at $20.3 billion.

Jensen Huang, a co-founder of the manufacturer of graphics processing unit (GPU) chips, is directly above Nakamoto. Given that his current net worth is $20.6 billion, Huang will be 78th richest person in the world in 2022.

Although Nakamoto’s portfolio lost value, CATL and Nvidia executives saw an increase in their net worth.

The difference between Nakamoto and the billionaires Shilin and Huang is that while their respective net worths increased after the mid-November 2021 high, Nakamoto’s fell by more than 70%.

Huang’s wealth increased by 74.57 percent since 2021, and the vice-chairman of CATL’s wealth increased by 57.36 percent since the previous year. Between 2021 and 2022, Shilin and Huang both climbed a few spots on the Forbes Billionaires list, while Satoshi’s position fell.

On the Forbes list right now, Nakamoto is ranked 79th, but on October 17, 2021, he was the 20th richest person in the world. Nakamoto actually ranked below the three Walton siblings at the time. Walmart is owned and run by the Walton family members Jim Walton, Alice Walton, and Rob Walton.

Bitcoin’s creator did not spend a single penny of the $60.9 billion in crypto assets he held in October, when he was the 20th richest person in the world. Many people think Satoshi won’t move the BTC under any circumstances because the money he allegedly owns hasn’t been moved in the past 13 years.

Although Nakamoto’s wealth has significantly decreased, this is not the first time it has done so. Since the creation of Bitcoin, the creator’s net worth has decreased by 70–80% on several occasions.
